Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is an South African television and radio journalist and war reporter. She was a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually incorrect and politcally slanted story regarding the 2012 Benghazi attack "the worst mistake on my 10-year-watch." In the year 2019, she joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media firm. [4] In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation (a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News). She claimed that she was "dumped" by Fox Nation in March 2022. Logan worked as an assistant news reporter for Durban's Sunday Tribune (1988-1989) and the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992, she was hired by Reuters Television Africa, primarily as a senior producers. After four years, she moved to freelance journalism. Assignments included those as a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. CNN employed her to report on events such as the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland.
