Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4 1954. She is a Canadian-American comedian actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara has been awarded numerous distinctions including a Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. Then, in 2020, she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara first became known for her acting in the year 1974 while she was a part of The Second City in Toronto. She was a part of the principal cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. In the following year, O'Hara and Candy began working in the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984), where she drew praise from critics for her work as a comedic actress and as a writer, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for the Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was part of the brand-new Second City artistic Advisory Board, which was led by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
